How to Control eBay Ads and Set 3rd Party Ad Server

For the past months, we have been receiving requests from our publishers to have more control over their BidVertiser ads.

As a result, we have recently added two new features:

1. Display eBay Ads (yes/no) - By choosing "no", you can now limit your ads to only show text ads. By default, eBay Ads are set to display on all sites.

2. 3rd Party Ad Server / URL Forwarding - Allows you to serve your BidVertiser ads from a different domain name from the one registered in your account; Very useful when either serving the BidVertiser ads from a 3rd party ad server or from a URL forwarding service (commonly used in blogs or in a framed website).

To access these features, simply click "Preferences" from your Publisher Control Panel.

BidVertiser Now Supports Image Ads and Tags

As you all know, until now, our advertisers were only able to run text-ads in the BidVertiser network. For the past months, however, we have been receiving many requests from our advertisers to be able to run image ads. As always, we listen to our advertisers - listen, and comply. We are excited to announce that we now fully support image ads in all standard formats and that all of our advertisers are now welcomed to add image ads to their campaigns.

Alongside the image ads, we have now added support for Ad Tags, for the benefit of our growing number of ad agencies, which require more advanced monitoring and control of their campaigns. If you are an ad agency and would like to use this option, kindly open a support ticket and one of our account managers will set this up for you.

We support all standard ad formats (gif, jpg and png, with a maximum size of 50k):

Medium Rectangle

300 x 250

Vertical Rectangle

240 x 400

Large Rectangle

336 x 280

Rectangle

180 x 150

Full Banner

468 x 60

Half Banner

234 x 60

Vertical Banner

120 x 240

Square Button

125 x 125

Leaderboard

728 x 90

Wide Skyscraper

160 x 600

Skyscraper

120 x 600

Conversion Bonus Payment Announced

We are happy to announce that starting March 2010, BidVertiser will be paying its publishers additional revenue - "Conversion Bonus" revenue.

So far, we have been paying the traditional CPC for each valid click, but from now on - publishers with high quality traffic that generate actual leads and revenue for our advertisers, will enjoy an additional Conversion Bonus at the end of each month, as part of the scheduled payment.

The Conversion Bonus payment will be listed as a separate row in your standard monthly payment report.

Now, more than ever, quality of traffic makes a difference - a huge difference. Publishers with high quality traffic (meaning, clicks that also generate conversions) will enjoy an additional revenue that in many cases - may even be higher than the traditional CPC revenue.

In order to enjoy this new Conversion Bonus, keep the BidVertiser Ads running on prominent spots (above the fold) on your website and make sure to use our most popular ad formats:
728x90
160x600
300x250
120x600
468x60
336x280

We look forward to apply the new Conversion Bonus in your upcoming payment!

BidVertiser Ads for Feeds - WordPress Plugin and FeedBurner Solution Announced

Since we launched BidVertiser Ads for Feeds, we have been closely listening to our publishers' feedback and the most common request was to find a solution that will enable them to run the ads while keeping their current feed address (and FeedBurner Subscribers Count).

To address this, we have now launched 3 unique solutions:

1. WordPress Plugin to allow you to seamlessly embed the BidVertiser Ads in your feeds. You can download the plugin from your publisher account.

2. Solution for FeedBurner that allows you to embed the BidVertiser Ads in your current FeedBurner address. Click here to learn more about the FeedBurner solution.

3. Solution for Blogger/Blogspot that allows you to embed the BidVertiser Ads in the footer of each of your post feeds. Click here to learn more about the Blogger solution.

All of those great features are now available for you in your publisher control panel under the Get Feed Widget button (after registering a feed). If you are new to BidVertiser, <a href="http://www.bidvertiser.com/bdv/BidVertiser/bdv_publisher.dbm" target=_blank">click here to create a publisher account.

New Look of the BidVertiser Ads

You may have noticed that the format of the BidVertiser Ads has been slightly changed. There are 3 main changes applied to the ads:

Title and URL, both have an underline on/off affect while moving the mouse over.

Title, Description and URL can now be opened in a new window or tab when right-clicking on, which makes them more user-friendly.

The BidVertiser brand name and the companion "Advertise Here" text are now blended into one section, appearing in the bottom right hand of the ad.

The above changes have been applied after reviewing requests we have received from our publishers, as well as after analyzing user-behavior.

The control that our publishers have on the ads (colors, background etc.) are kept intact and we hope that this new ad format will work well for both of our publishers and advertisers.

As always, we welcome any feedback via our customer service center.

Since we have launched our referral program, we have been closely monitoring it and we have noticed that the time frame between signing a new referral and generating revenues from that referral is too long.
